Ketubah, Ketubot

The Ketubah, or Jewish marriage contract, is a religious, legal document, and is a prerequisite to marriage under Jewish law. Ketubot have been illumined with designs reflecting the styles of many lands, and the notion of "hiddur mitzvah", or glorification of a commandment, has led to the creation of beautiful works of art to represent a couples' relationship. Used for weddings or anniversaries, the ketubot displayed on these pages represent the wide range of Jewish observance today, including texts for Traditional Orthodox, Conservative (with Lieberman Clause), Reform, Interfaith, and Committment ceremonies.

Life-cycle events and holidays provide the perfect opportunity to expand one's Judaic art collection. Artworks commemorating birth, bar/bat mitzvah, graduation, marriage, holidays, home blessings and professional prayers (doctors, lawyers) are available, many with personalization options. From intricate papercut blessings for the home to brightly illuminated certificates, these artworks in Hebrew or English are ideal for gift giving.
